aesthetic vibes

One of the greatest challenges I am facing is deciding the overall  interior aesthetic for Faber Lane.  A look I naturally gravitate to is the neutral, classic Ralph Lauren feel. Natural materials – teak, rattan, jute and sisal with creams, beige, brown – MY HEAVEN!

This design will undoubtedly stay timeless and fresh for years to come. On the other hand, it feels a bit ‘safe’ and part of me feels I need to go out of my comfort zone. Not to mention with renters, the light tones could be a pricy disaster waiting to happen.

I’m also absolutely lovingggg the Calypso St Barth boho/global vibe. Colorful kilims, earthy tones with pops of color… how could it not put you in a fun mood? Below is a breakfast nook from the September cover of Coastal Living that I have had my eye on for awhile.

Coastal Living – September 2015

Part of me believes a vacation home is a place to take risks. When else is it appropriate to incorporate palm tree wallpaper?!
